Have you ever asked yourself where simple and very good food can be served/cooked? Many are looking for luxury destinations. But does it work? Certainly not always. In Lisbon, I discovered this little gem in a market. This snack bar serves dishes made fresh all the time, sourced from fish, meat and vegetable vendors nearby. Top dish - grilled sardines. 10/10.

The tall bearded server helped me out with getting a dish for my train ride from Lisbon to Porto. The dish was the seafood rice and it was delicious. The fish, clams, and squid in the rice were very fresh and perfectly prepared plus the portion size was perfect for lunch. The dish was delicious! If I'm ever in the area again, I will make it a point to eat here.

O melhor local no Saldanha para comer, carne e peixe sempre frescos . Preços muito simpáticos e uma serradura divinal. Atenção que tb tem cheesecake. Os empregados são Top, o Sr. Nuno , o Roberto sempre incansáveis a servir as pessoas , 5 Estrelas. E atenção, até se pode personalizar pratos, já imaginaram um bitoque de atum 😉

I've only been to the terrace. I've never used the interior (which seems a bit dingy). The service is friendly and fairly quick (even when the place is very full). At lunchtime, during the week, it's very difficult to find a seat during the 12:00 and 12:30 rotations. Later on, it's easier, but the grilled fish options can be more limited. The grilled fish is always of good quality and, above all, very well prepared on the grill.

Les prix comme la qualité sont imbattables. Nuno, le patron reconnaît ses clients et prend soin d’eux. La première fois, vous serez surtout sensible au prix. La seconde fois à tout le reste. Ne changez rien ! Qui peut s’enorgueillir d’accueillir les ouvriers comme les patrons ? Respect !

Numa visita ao mercado, deparámo-nos com a Cantina. Não tínhamos expectativas. Pratos deliciosos, peixe muito fresco. Atendimento muito simpático. Não dou mais estrelas porque não há.

Hier gibt es in der Markthalle auch kleine Restaurants , wie das Cantina, mit diesem guten Essen, in Hauptzeiten überlaufen von Einheimischen.
